  nothing shakes them more than any threat to their rulership.

  .. the worldwide preaching of the established kingdom of god done by jehovah's witnesses has become just such a threat to the nations.

  I love how important they make themselves feel. I wonder do they realize that joe stalin used to encourage witnesses, in the outer provinces of the new USSR, because they kept the people in those rural provinces in servatude and easy to control.

  Last Memorial or Not?

  was quoted as saying that this years memorial would be the last one celebrated by the society?.

  I was pressured to go last year. This year hells no. The one thing that kills me about the push to get 'inactive' ones to the memorial...dont most witnesses talk under there breath about ones who only come to the hall for the memorial and assemblys? Why would I go to such a meeting only to be looked down on by such nincompoops?

  question for those of you still going out: do you actually still pretend to preach to people?

  pretend interest in the latest mags so they will take them?

  for me its easy since territory is so apathetic anyway i just dont bother overcoming any of their "conversation stoppers" my calls i am slowly, methodically telling them i wont be coming around anymore.

  Blondie I used to do just what you did till I couldn't take it no more. As far as working the same territory over and over again. How many of you heard of the congo in new york that had one apartment bldg as their turf and they worked it everyday?

  Thank you all for your comments. One thing I realized reading all of your post, is that we spent alot of time, reviewing the same crappy material over and over again. And ozzie, I remember them stopping that book and telling the R&F to move on to something that wont cause everyone in the bookstudy to start commiting suicide like in the movie airplane when robert hayes character would start to tell his story.

  when i was a jw and married to one, my wife's grandparents invited us over for a sunday dinner, a very nice one indeed.

  wife's brother, his buddy, and wife's parents were all jw's.

  the grandparents, however, were catholic.

  hello again from sunny north carolina!!!.

  our state lotto started today, and i won 15 dollars, and only bought 1 $1 card.

  so whoop whoop for gambling.. i was in miami florida last week for the photoshop world conference, but i also got to tour the everglades, where i took some beautiful pictures.

  You know whats really funny about this elder? He is so meticulous to note every little detail of what not to do, naming societies lawyers and recomendations,etc. At what point do you ask the question why not? As someone commented earlier, why does he not realize that he, the lowly cheese and cracker man, is the one who is liable should the Sh#T
